| Gone but not forgotten: Picturedrome ~ Regal |

| This substancial building opened on 30th December 1930 on Atlantic Road, and having only single floor but a high ceiling seated 290. Opened by J H Wills, the cinema had its own car park and served Tintagel nearby. The auditorium was dominated by a rounded corner square shaped proscenium 24ft wide with decoration. The later CinemaScope screen was 18ft wide. It was briefly known as the Picturedrome when first opened. Came under the control of Cornwall Cinemas (Newquay) Ltd during the war and was later taken over by Regal (Delebole) Ltd, run by George Edmund Graver of Picture House, Bude. The cinema was equiped with BTH Super Mark 1 projectors In the mid 1950s the cinema was run by A J Long. This delightful cinema burnt to the ground on 2nd November 1969.
