A silent cinema operated here part time until around 1930 when silent product ran out, run by Mr W J Brooks of Exmouth. In 1934 Mr Brooks returned aided by Mr MIT Radford of Cullompton, called Cullompton Mobile Cinema.  This was a 35mm sound operation, part time on a Tuesday night, but failed after three months.  Operated 28th August to end October 1934. The Guildhall, Bradninch is a fine municipal building  constructed in 1835, and had a prison in the basement.  It continues to provide a range of entertainments today.
